TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: What God Calls You

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
And the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, ‘The LORD is with you, O mighty man of valor.’
Judges 6:12, ESV.

TODAY'S WORD:

In Scripture, God called Gideon a mighty man of fearless courage. Now Gideon looked around and said, "God couldn't be talking about me. I come from the poorest family. I'm the least one in my Father's house." Gideon saw himself as weak, defeated and not able. But God saw him as strong, confident and more than a conqueror.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Who's Your Daddy?

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
…the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father.’
Romans 8:15, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

There used to be a billboard that asked the question, “Who’s the father?” It was advertising DNA testing. They can take a child’s DNA and test another person’s DNA to see if it matches in order to scientifically prove if two people are related. Out of the billions of people on earth, the chances of your DNA matching someone that’s not your family is so small that it’s inconceivable.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Your Spiritual DNA

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Romans 8:14, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

Have you ever really considered your spiritual DNA? Your Heavenly Father spoke worlds into existence. He flung stars into space. He painted every sunrise. He designed every flower. He made man out of dust and breathed life into him. Now here’s the key: He is not just the Creator of the universe. He is not just the all-powerful God. He is your Heavenly Father. You have His DNA. Imagine what you can do!

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Your Heavenly Heritage

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:26, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

In life, we all have negative things that happen to us. We go through situations that are unfair. I know people who were raised in an unhealthy environment. Their parents had issues, and now it’s making life much more difficult on them.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Created for Greatness

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

It’s easy to go through life thinking that we’re average; we’re ordinary. “There’s nothing special about me. I’m just one of the six billion people on earth.” No, when God created you, He put a part of Himself in you. You could say that you have the DNA of Almighty God. You are destined to do great things, destined to leave your mark on this generation.

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
So that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders…
1 Thessalonians 4:12, NIV.

 TODAY'S WORD:

When others look at your life, what do they see? Does your daily life win the respect of others? As believers, we are Christ’s representatives in the earth. We are called to a higher standard. The way we live our lives should bring glory to God the Father.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Your Story Ends in Victory

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Psalm 139:16, NLT.

TODAY'S WORD:

In difficult times, you have to remind yourself that nothing is a surprise to Almighty God. He’s not up in the heavens scratching His head, saying, “Oh, man, he got laid off. That messed up everything.” “Oh, she was diagnosed with cancer.” “Joseph was thrown into a pit.” “Joel lost his father. Now what am I going to do?” No, God knows the end from the beginning. He has already written every day of your life in His book. The good news is that if you will stay in faith, your book ends in victory.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Victor's Mentality

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:37, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

In scripture, Paul went through hard times. How did he come through? He wasn’t complaining, living in self-pity or despair. No, he shook off that defeated mindset and chose to have a vision of victory. This is what we have to do, too!

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Let Your Love Grow

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
2 Thessalonians 1:3, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

God’s desire is to see you grow and increase in every area of your life—especially in your love for others. That’s because love is the greatest thing, and it is all that matters in eternity. At the end of the day, at the end of our lives here on earth, love is what will last forever!

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Put Your Love into Action

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
If anyone has this world’s goods (resources for sustaining life) and sees his brother and fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live and remain in him? Little children, let us not love [merely] in theory or in speech but indeed and in truth...
1 John 3:17-18, AMP.

TODAY'S WORD:

I've heard it said that you can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving. Notice this verse tells us that love isn't just about our words or thoughts; it’s about our actions. Love is about reaching out and meeting the needs of others. Sometimes meeting someone’s needs is as simple as a smile or sharing a word of encouragement. There are many ways to show the love of God. Can you pay for someone’s gas or groceries? Do you see a need in someone’s life that you can meet? Remember, you are the hands and feet of Jesus in the earth. The Lord wants to bless you today so that you can be a blessing to others. He wants to work through you to show His love and compassion.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: I Can

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
…With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26, NKJV.

TODAY'S WORD:

When was the last time you declared out loud “I can”? It’s not something people think to do every day. In fact, most people tend to magnify their limitations. They focus on their shortcomings. But scripture makes it plain: all things are possible to those who believe. That’s right! It is possible to see your dreams fulfilled. It is possible to overcome that obstacle. It is possible to climb to new heights. It is possible to embrace your destiny. You may not know how it will all take place. You may not have a plan, but all you have to know is that if God said that you can…you can!

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Talk to Yourself the Right Way

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13, NKJV.

TODAY'S WORD:

In scripture, Paul had been through a lot of trials. He had been shipwrecked, spent the night on an open sea, and gone days without food. He was falsely accused, beaten with rods, and thrown into prison. If anyone had a right, at least in the natural, to be negative, bitter or complain, it would have been Paul. But his attitude was, “I can handle it. I am ready for and equal to it. Why? Because Almighty God, the Creator of the universe has infused me with strength. He has equipped me, empowered me, anointed me, crowned me with favor, put royal blood in my veins, and called me to reign in life as a king.”

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: You Can Handle It!

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13, NKJV.

TODAY'S WORD:

We all go through challenges, disappointments and unfair situations. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and think, “This is too much. I can’t deal with this illness. I can’t handle this difficult child.” Or, “I can’t take this traffic. It’s driving me crazy.” But, God promised He will never let us face more than we can bear. Nothing that comes your way in life is too much for you.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Resist Fear

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined]…
1 Peter 5:9, AMP.

TODAY'S WORD:

The very moment you first feel fear, you have to resist it. In other words, you have to act against it. If you make the mistake of dwelling on your fears and start thinking about all the reasons why you can’t do what God is telling you to do, then it won’t be long before you develop a negative mindset that will keep you stuck where you are.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Avoid the Trap

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
Proverbs 29:25, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

Fear is one of the enemy’s favorite tools to keep us from going forward in our lives. As soon as we make a decision to step out in faith and do what God is telling us to do, immediately the enemy will bring fear. He’ll put thoughts in your mind like, “What if I fail? What will others think? Maybe I don’t have what it takes.” He’ll do his best to use fear to try to convince you to shrink back and just stay right where you are.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Finished with Fear

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7, NLT.

TODAY'S WORD:

So many people today are missing out on God’s abundant joy, peace and victory because they keep giving in to a spirit of fear. They are afraid to make a decision, they are afraid to confront issues, they’re afraid to step out in faith, they’re afraid of the past, and they’re afraid of the future! But as believers, we don’t have to live that way.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: The Season of Grace

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
For the turning away of the simple will slay them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.
Proverbs 1:32, NKJV.

TODAY'S WORD:

God will never ask you to do something without giving you the ability to do it. But when we’re passive or complacent and think, “Yes, I know I need to do that. Maybe next week,” well, next week turns into next month. Next month turns into next year. When we put off what God has told us to do, we miss that season of grace. But if you’ll deal with things as soon as God brings them to light, you’ll have a special grace, a special empowerment. You’ll feel God’s enabling power helping you to do it.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Don't Put it Off

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments.
Psalm 119:60, NKJV.

TODAY'S WORD:

Isn't it interesting how easy it is to put things off? We plan on doing something. We have good intentions. We want to do it, but we just think we’ll get to it later. “One day I’m going to start exercising. One day I’m going to get my finances in order. One day I’m going to forgive that person who hurt me.” The problem with this kind of thinking is that “one day” never comes. There will always be some reason to keep delaying it.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: It's No Surprise to God

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph…
2 Corinthians 2:14, AMP.

TODAY'S WORD:

In life, we all have to deal with the unexpected. Just because we’re believers, just because we’re good people or doing the right thing doesn't make us exempt from trouble. The scripture says, “The rain falls on the just and the unjust.” In times when something unexpected happens, or you find yourself facing a crisis, you don’t have to go into “panic mode” or fall apart emotionally. Remember, that crisis is no surprise to God. It may be unexpected to you, but God knows the end from the beginning. He has solutions to problems that you haven’t even had. He has equipped you for every battle, and He goes before you making your crooked places straight.

TODAY'S WORD with Joel & Victoria Osteen: Through Faith and Patience

Joel Osteen Ministries | Today's Word
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
...imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 6:12, NIV.

TODAY'S WORD:

In our culture today, people are used to getting things right away. Some people say that we live in a “microwave” society. In other words, we've been programmed for immediacy. People don’t like to wait. But the scripture says, “It’s through faith and patience that we inherit God’s promises.”
