Entertainment One Music (eOne Music), continues to inspire
fans and drive the sounds of gospel among a diverse range of leading artists
today, garnering 11 Stellar Awards nominations among 6 artists for the upcoming
29th Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Carrying the hit sounds of gospel worldwide,
from solo artists to choirs, eOne Music’s winning roster of songs from Bishop
Paul S. Morton, Shirley Caesar, Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Donald
Lawrence, Dexter Walker & Zion Movement, and Hart Ramsey & The NCC
Family Choir, are nominated across 10 categories, including Artist of the Year
and Song of the Year. Bishop Paul S. Morton and his acclaimed album, Best Days
Yet (Tehillah Music/Light Records/Entertainment One) leads the nominations with
four, plus a nomination for Donald Lawrence as songwriter, followed by two
nominations for Shirley Caesar and two nominations for Full Gospel Baptist
Church Fellowship, and one nomination apiece for Dexter Walker & Zion
Movement and Hart Ramsey & The NCC Family Choir.
With
previous wins that include Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year, Special Event
CD of the Year, and more in his esteemed ministry career, Stellar Award-winner
Bishop Paul S. Morton has created another hit album with his 10th solo release,
Best Days Yet. Racking up 4 Stellar Awards nominations, Morton and Best Days
Yet are nominated for Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year,
Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year, and Traditional CD of the Year. Prolific
Stellar Award-winner Donald Lawrence receives a nomination for Song of the Year
honors, as the songwriter of the album’s hit single “Your Best Days Yet.”
14-time Stellar Award winner Shirley
Caesar’s latest hit album Good God (Light Records/Entertainment One), has
continued to garner acclaim, with Caesar garnering two nominations, in the
category of Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of the Year and Traditional Female
Vocalist of the Year. Featuring the hit single “God Will Make A Way,” “Good
God” with The Thompson Community Singers, “Holy Boldness” and more, the gospel
legend continues to be a pioneering force in music with her distinctive sound
and acclaimed voice.
The release of the live album One
Sound (Tehillah Music/Entertainment One), from Bishop Morton’s Full Gospel
Baptist Church Fellowship, has also been embraced, garnering two Stellar Awards
nominations. Showcasing among the best in praise and worship music, Full Gospel
Baptist Church Fellowship International Ministry of Worship’s invigorating live
album is nominated in the categories of Choir of the Year and Traditional Choir
of the Year.
eOne Music’s releases from Dexter
Walker & Zion Movement and Hart Ramsey & The NCC Family Choir have
impacted the category of Contemporary Choir of the Year this year, with two
nominations out of the four total nominees in the category. Hart Ramsey &
The NCC Family Choir are nominated for their debut album Next Now! (Prayer
Closet/Entertainment One), while Dexter Walker & Zion Movement are also
nominated for their debut album Greater Than Before (How Sweet the Sound/eOne
Music).
The upcoming 29th Stellar Gospel Music
Awards will take place in Nashville on January 18, 2014 at the Nashville
Municipal Auditorium, with eOne Music’s Shirley Caesar, Donald Lawrence, Erica
Campbell, Ricky Dillard, and Jonathan McReynolds slated to bring their dynamic
performances to the stage.
