On
October 15, 2013, the Gospel Music Association (GMA) hosted the 44th Annual
Dove Awards at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, TN!
Co-hosted by Kirk Franklin and Amy
Grant, the packed-house event featured appearances from some of Christian and
Gospel music’s most popular artists, including TobyMac, Tamela Mann and Jason
Crabb and Lecrae.
Tasha Cobbs landed 3 awards, while
Tamela Mann and Lecrae each scored 2.
Other top winners for the night
include TobyMac (Artist of the Year), for King
& Country (New Artist of the Year) and “10,000 Reasons (Bless the
Lord)” by Matt Redman (Song of the Year).
The
evening also included a pre-show, co-hosted by Chris August and Jamie Grace,
and featuring performances from Jonathan McReynolds, One Girl Nation and more.
